People keep asking these questions, so I'm going to try and put a sticky post here for it:
1) Yes, the shop is now set up at my home which is a residence in a Cul De Sac (it's the house to the right of the pathway). Park on the curb and come on up.
2) Unless I have an appointment I don't have a s...

Now that I finally have the taxes done, back to listing on eBay. Trying to upgrade my pictures some, so working on my photo area. Bought the reflectors and got stuck trying to figure out how to use them until I remembered an old project I had stored in the garage. Still tweaking placm, ent and ang...

This site is now closed while we look for a new location. We will update this page once a new location is secured and we are open for business.

With a heavy heart I am announcing that we will be closing the shop on 185th by the end of month. We have plans to move this to a new location as soon as we can secure new digs, but with the water still dripping from the ceiling, I don't see how we can continue here. Until a new location is found...

Pretty cool store. Lots of retro game options from many game systems. Even some cool old board games. It's a little tight so don't bring a crowd. This store is certainly worth a look if you are in town.

If you're looking for a specific game or maybe just in the mood for retro or newer games, Tappers has really reasonable prices and keeps the items for sale in great condition, highly suggested if you're a retro collector

I love this shop. I've only bought a few things, but the owner of this shop is so very very polite and friendly. He's always working on something, and is always very welcoming. I recently bought a controller for a system, and when I got home it wouldn't hold a charge. No big deal, old electronics are finicky sometimes. Brought it back and he replaced the battery free of charge with a brand new one while I waited but I would have gladly come back again later. Very helpful, and he genuinely cares about what he does. I will always visit his store first if I'm looking for something specific. Looking at negative reviews on here is what inspired my review. I don't know how anyone could have a bad experience here unless they tried to. His prices are lower than a lot of stores around, and he's much more knowledgeable and friendly than the stores around.

About us

Tapper's Retro Games sells Retro Video Games, Toys, Vintage Board Games, and generally interesting stuff. We enjoy finding and rescuing these iconic items for other collectors, before they end up in the recycle or just plain trashed. We have a room in the back of Thriftique at 5990 SW 185th, Aloha OR 97007. The store hours when the buyer will be on-site are now Wednesday - Friday 5:30 - 7:00 PM, and Saturday- Sunday 12:00 - 6:00 PM. Store is accessible during Thiftique's normal hours by asking at the front desk, and later in the evenings by appointment. Cash only when the buyer is not available. Working on expanding the hours down the line. We also tend to pop-up at local Flea Markets and Special Events as far south as Eugene.  If there is something you are looking for: from complete games to partial disk sets, hand-helds, consoles, and accessories, or just game cases or parts and pieces; Hit us up, and we'll see what we can find for you. We Buy, Sell, and Trade, when the buyer is on-site.
